The Living might sound like the name of a cult, but it’s actually a tasty vegetarian organic lunch spot with lots of vegan options as well.
The Living focuses on the organic/local/vegan/vegetarian market rather than a specific cuisine. Food is served buffet-style and you pay by weight. The menu rotates biweekly and they offer a pretty broad range of items, including soups, salads and various warm dishes. They also offer gluten free, dairy free, etc., so if you have a special dietary need, just ask.
The quiche is always a favorite, as is the home-brewed chai. There’s a really good potato salad that sometimes appears, as well.
The decor is what you would expect from a hipster restaurant and looks like it hopped right off of Pinterest. The space isn’t very large, so it’s not great for big parties. There’s a big table in the center of the room and some counter space by the windows, so lots of opportunity to chat with fellow diners.
You order at the counter and the staff are very attentive.
Watch out; you can only pay with a credit or debit card. They also do catering and workshops. The menu isn’t specifically in English, but the food is clearly on display and you can just ask the staff if you have specific questions.
Lunch will cost around €15 per person and dinner around €25.
