In what used to be a patchouli oil shop (seriously…we swear!) is a great Italian restaurant with some excellent pasta.
It’s an Italian menu, though a few typical Dutch snacks have crept in. There’s a long list of salads and sandwiches which are essentially Italian/Mediterranean inspired lunch fare, as well as a short pasta menu. The restaurant expanded out from the bar and the menu reflects that. The drinks menu is long and the bar snacks menu is typical Dutch.
For lunch, order the caprese and milano sandwich. For dinner, you want pasta. Start out with bread and spreads. The pesto is especially good, but save room because the pasta portions are large. The pesto and the squid ink pastas are especially good. Order a hot chocolate for dessert (it’s a large mug) and either the cheesecake or the chocolate limoncello cake.
The space is minimalist, with low lighting and plated menus. It’s a great place for dinner with a group of friends. The bar has existed for a while but only recently expanded into the restaurant, so on weekend evenings the bar clientele spills over into the restaurant space. Noisy but not unbearable.
This is not typical Dutch service. The owner/main waiter must be the friendliest server in Delft. The staff is attentive and very nice.
No English-language menu. There is wifi and there is also a kid’s play corner and children’s menu.
Lunch will cost around €15 per person and dinner around €30.
