Essentially, the chain version of Bakker Jaap with more seating options and located on the Brabantse Turkmarkt.
The food is typical of any Dutch bakery, though the cafe caters more to the lunch crowd, with more sales in prepared foods, rather than the bread-buying crowd.
They offer a similar variety from sandwiches to small pizzas and, of course, a variety of baked goodies. Everything is good but not spectacular. The paninis are good and less expensive than at Bakker Jaap.
There’s plenty of eat-in space available and the service is geared toward dining in. It’s a chain, with locations around the country, and you may be familiar with their bright pink branding. Nothing special about the decor, but it’s clean and well-maintained.
They only offer counter service but the employees are friendly and helpful.
Nothing is in English, though the menu is basic enough to figure it out. Their menu is available online, as well. It’s been repeatedly awarded the best to-go food in the Netherlands.
Sandwiches range from €3 – €6 euros and snacks from €1.50 to €3.
